Eliminating Manual Invoice Processing

Lumon receives tens of thousands of invoices annually. Prior to adopting AI, Lumon had implemented order matching for purchase order invoices and established agreements for matching static recurring invoices. However, these measures still left a significant amount of manual work in invoice accounting, as the proportion of automatically accounted invoices was relatively low compared to the total invoice volume.

Embracing AI-Powered Invoice Automation

Lumon recognized the need to reduce manual labor in the invoice processing workflow. Having already utilized traditional rule-based methods, Lumon was seeking further automation advancements. In 2021, Lumon turned to Snowfox to explore the potential of AI in automating invoice processing.

Before making a purchasing decision, Lumon conducted an accuracy test of Snowfox.AI’s AI on their invoice data. The test revealed the level of automation that Snowfox.AI could achieve for Lumon’s invoices. Based on the accuracy test, Lumon concluded that integrating AI into their invoice process would bring about a significant leap in automation immediately upon implementation. This prompted Lumon to proceed with a pilot project to experience the added value of AI.

Smooth Implementation
